英文的詞根 (word root) 跟中文的部首一樣，透過詞根跟部首可以猜測一個字的意思。在英文裡，一個字後面接不同的字尾 (suffix) 可以讓一個字擁有不同的詞性或意思，英文初學者熟悉字尾之後可以減少口說及寫作時非常多文法的錯誤。這裡我們整理出幾個最常用的字尾及其詞性，文末美麗的字尾 vs. 詞性海報要蒐藏起來喔！
