錄取率最低的大學都希望能夠找到願意挑戰自己、以及能夠從選修進階課程展現出學習實力的學生。不過，選修 AP 課程只是第一步。如果學生不只在課堂表現優異，拿到很高的 GPA， 同時能夠在期末的 AP 考試拿到一個非常好的分數，這樣你的申請表會更有說服力。
但是 AP 考試幾分算高分呢？在這篇文章中，我們收集了來自 College Board 官方的所有 AP 科目在過去幾年的平均分數，以及在這些科目當中 AP 考試及格（3 分以上是及格）以及滿分（5 分是滿分）的百分比供大家參考。
AP 考試幾分算是好分數？
AP 考試的成績範圍在 1 分到 5 分，大部分的大學會把 3 分當作及格的分數，學生如果 AP 考了 3 分以上，在一些大學可以抵對應的基礎課程的學分。
這個規定會因學校而異，每個學校願意讓學生把學分的科目不同，有的學校也會要求學生考到 4 分或滿分 5 分才可以抵學分。所以，5 分是最好的分數，但大部分情況考到 3 分就算是好分數。

數據分析：AP 中文最簡單，AP 物理 1 最難？
從以上這兩個數據表來看，中文的平均分、及格率、以及滿分率都是最高的，而物理 1 的平均分、及格率、以及滿分率都是最低的。一些學生可能就會誤以為這代表中文是所有 AP 考試中最簡單的，而物理 1 是當中最難的，但是這樣的結論是錯誤的！
平均分最高的科目不見得表示他們考試是最簡單的，舉平均分數最高的中文來說，因為 AP 中文是中文入門課程，而全球又有這麼多母語是中文的學生會考 AP 中文，AP 中文的平均分數被這些學生拉高了。
分數第二高的科目（微積分 BC）也絕對不是一個簡單的科目，而且它的難度比微積分 AB 還高。它的平均分數會這麼高的原因是因為會選修微積分 BC 的學生基本上都是數理能力非常好的學生，因此即使考試比較難，修 BC 學生的分數還是比數學可能不是強項的 AB 學生來得高。
相同的，Physics 1 是四個AP物理科目中最簡單、但它的平均分數竟然是所有考試當中最低的。這個原因跟 Calculus BC 的分數非常高的原因相同：會選修 Physics 1 的學生通常不是物理強的學生，Physics 1 雖然是最簡單的物理科目，但它畢竟還是大學程度的課程，這些物理能力比較弱的學生本來想要挑戰自己所以上了這堂課，但最後發現太難了，導致最後只有大約四成（42%）的學生可以考到及格的分數。
接下來你該做什麼？
上面我們分析了為什麼看這些數據無法讓你知道哪些 AP 科目比較難或簡單，所以這些數據除了看看以外，並沒有太大的幫助。
不過，選對 AP 課程或考試是非常重要的，如果你的興趣跟強項是數學，高中的 algebra, geometry, 跟 pre-calculus 數學課也有不錯的成績，那微積分選修 AP Calculus BC 應該是正確的決定；如果你對商業或者經濟感興趣，未來希望從事 business 相關的工作，那在高中選修 AP Macroeconomics 或 Microeconomics 對你申請大學跟未來的工作都有幫助。
最後提醒：雖然選修多一點 AP 課程會加分，但凡事還是量力而為，選修太多課程反而會本末倒置。AP 畢竟是大學程度的課程，你的目的是要讓大學知道有能力可以勝任大學課業，如果你覺得選修 2 科 AP 課程就已經很有壓力了，就不要選修 6 科 AP。全盤考量才能做出聰明的選擇，學習得過程才可以順利一些，祝你好運！
