在選擇合適大學課程的時候，學生可能會因為不同原因需要跟學校電話或email聯繫。如果信件寫得方式不對，不只會讓對方覺得沒禮貌，如果有特殊請求可能還會被拒絕。我們來跟大家分寫信件需要的內容，讓學生跟學校溝通時可以更專業！

誰可以寫信給學校

只有學生可以寫信給大學！如果寄件人是家長、親戚、或顧問，會讓美國大學覺得學生很不成熟，是一個媽寶。高中生已經有能力跟責任要為自己負責了，所以這封信必須是學生自己寫。

什麼情況要寫信給大學

報名一堂課之前，你可能會有下面這些原因須要寫信給學校：

大學官網上的資訊不完整，你想了解一堂課程的資料
你想詢問你能不能（或有沒資格）上一堂課
你有特殊情況（如無法參與其中一週的課程）希望了解你是否還是能上
你有特殊請求，希望得到對方同意
你有其他問題想問學校或教授

Email內容

Part 0: 主旨

內容：簡單描述寄信原因

範例：”Questions regarding taking Bio-101 as a high school student” 或 “Interested in Bio-101”

Part 1: 尊稱

內容：有禮貌的稱呼對方

範例：Dear Professor Smith 或 Dear BU Summer Program Office

Part 2: 介紹自己

內容：1) 自己的名字，2) 簡介

範例：My name is James (Yi-Wei) Lin, and I am a rising senior studying at Taipei American School in Taiwan, an international school under the AP system.

Part 3: 說明原因

內容：解釋寫信的目的

範例：I am very interested in taking your online class “BIO-100: Introduction to Biology and Life Sciences,” and I’m wondering if I am eligible to register for this class as a high school student.

Part 4: 背景情況

內容：解釋自己的情況（成績、課程等），說明合適這堂課的原因（感興趣、自我提升、大學科系、未來工作等），說服對方讓你上課

範例：I received 98 in my AP Biology class last year, and I scored a 5 on the AP test. I am planning to major in biology next year and follow the pre-med track, so I wish to take advanced biology courses to enrich my knowledge and be better prepared for college. I am fully aware of the expectations and commitments for this class as stated in the syllabus, and I will be attending all lectures on time as well as work on the assignments and tests to my best ability.

Part 5: 結尾

內容：結尾，並感謝對方的時間或回信

範例：Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to your reply.

Part 6: 署名

範例：Sincerely, James (Yi-Wei) Lin
